Throughout the pandemic local governments utilized creative and innovative ways to digitally connect with their communities and instead of abandoning the ability to connect digitally when residents are able to meet in-person, local governments should take their learnings and apply them in an effort to engage with the community both in-person and online.
ACTIVE Network president Andrea Facini, sees opportunities local governments currently face when engaging with communities. He believes that now is the time for digital transformation within local governments as modernizing can lead to increased engagement, communication and participation.
