We're on the ground here at the Wide World of Sports complex at Walt Disney World to cheer participants on at the 2012 Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer & Dance Championships. The energy here is electric as young players, dancers and cheerleaders take to the field or stage and inspire us all to get out of our seats and get ACTIVE!All of this excitement brings us back to when we first started working with Pop Warner nearly a decade ago. We are jazzed to be the official technology partner of Pop Warner, providing registration software to over 1,400 associations and 400,000 Pop Warner Little Scholars.ACTIVE Network has helped Pop Warner focus on its core competency, which is getting kids ACTIVE on the field. With limited staff and dollars, Pop Warner can offer convenience and better efficiency with a customized LeagueOne database that helps make volunteers' lives easier. We spoke with Pop Warner COO, Mary FitzGerald, earlier this month and asked her why the organization chose to work with ACTIVE."Our leagues are volunteer run and we needed to provide a way for them to streamline manual processes, like printing rosters, verifying weight requirements, medical waivers and online registration in a centralized system," said FitzGerald. "We have 140 leagues, 1,400 associations, 40,000 volunteers and 300,000 players. Tracking this many participants and leagues was a logistical nightmare."She continued that, "Our primary focus is on growing our membership and growing the sport and we needed a partner that would help us do that. LeagueOne was a panacea, or cure all, for us."LeagueOne is league management software that processes online registrations and payments, manages volunteers and rosters, builds schedules and helps volunteers communicate with parents and players.
