For the first time in the 50-year history of the memorial, you can reserve tickets ahead of time for the most-visited tourist attraction in Hawaii. Many ACTIVE Network team members recently put in some long, rewarding hours working on the launch of online ticketing for the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, including the USS Arizona Memorial, for our customer Recreation.gov.
The time we spent implementing the online ticketing system means less waiting time for the millions who visit this national historic site – nearly 1.7 million visitors last year alone! Online ticket reservations are available on Recreation.gov and through the call center, both of which ACTIVE Network manages for our long-time customer.
There’s a ton to see, so plan at least a day. Three options available online include: USS Arizona Memorial including a Navy-operated shuttle boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial; USS Arizona Memorial with Audio Set, narrated by actress Jamie Lee Curtis, daughter of actor and Pacific War veteran Tony Curtis; or the Passport to Pearl Harbor, a one-day Passport to Pearl Harbor allows you to visit all four Pearl Harbor Historic Sites and includes the above plus admission to the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, the Battleship Missouri Memorial, and the Pacific Aviation Museum.
Last year marked the 70th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor. The National Park Service has a great site about the official World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument that includes the history of the attacks and an excellent guide to help plan your visit the memorial. Check it out here.
