Campus recreation departments run the fitness facilities around campus, offer programs and training sessions, put on intramurals, and a lot more. But behind all that comes a ton of management time for staff members. That’s why we’ve seen a trend in recent years around the campus recreation industry: departments are moving to ‘the cloud’ (also known as Software as a Service) to manage all parts of their business without the IT infrastructure.
At ACTIVE Network, we’ve seen the trend play out first hand in the last year. The following 15 campus recreation organizations have moved to our cloud-based management software, ACTIVE Net:
- British Columbia Institute of Technology
- Chapman University
- California Institute of Technology
- Douglas College
- East Tennessee State University
- Georgia State University
- Louisiana State University
- Northwestern University
- Regis University
- The George Washington University
- The University of Texas at Tyler
- University of Guelph
- University of Massachusetts, Boston
- University of British Columbia, Okanagan
- Vancouver Island University
To all of the colleges and universities above, welcome to the ACTIVE Network family! To all the recreation professionals out there, do you see this as a trend in the industry?
